With the advent of laptops and tablets, formal desks (particularly wooden ones) are not in demand the way they once were. There are tons of these desks at garage sales, flea markets, and auctions. Usually, you can score one pretty cheap. The end goal? A vanity of course!
Vanities appeal to girls of all ages. For young girls, it’s a great place to sit while they get their hair brushed by mom or dad, and with the addition of a mirror, they can see what’s going on. For teens, it’s a must for hair and makeup (the more storage the better). And for adults, it gives us a nice place to sit and apply make-up, fix hair or contemplate our wrinkles! An inspirational quote can be the perfect added touch.
Anyway, my point is that these old desks can be transformed into awesome vanities. These are two examples where I added quotes, but in addition, they can be decked out to fit into any surrounding. Could someone in your life use the luxury of a vanity?
