If you follow my blog, you saw last week’s post about the farm-style dining table. You know, the one for gathering friends and family. The big one. Well, a huge farm-style dining table requires some long benches. Once the table was complete and delivered, I had space to build the benches.
Here is the finished dining table from last week.
As the client was looking to seat 10, she decided on 2 benches plus 2 chairs for the ends. To maximize seating, the benches measure 86″ long, giving just enough room to slide them under the table without constantly banging the table legs. To accommodate the length, I added a center set of legs for support.

I received the best possible compliment from the client. “You made my vision come to life.” I can already visualize the family gathered for Thanksgiving!
