What Adds Comfort to Your Home?

As we all try to navigate this challenge new reality, we are spending a lot more time at home.  We are working, learning, and even shopping from home now more than ever.  With all the extra time and demands now placed on our homes, it only makes sense to want to make that space feel safe, functional, and comfortable.  A place where everything feels normal.  Feels right.

Much of the furniture I work on contributes directly to that feeling for my clients.  Whether it’s an old family heirloom that gets a fresh face, a sentimental piece that gets repurposed into something beautiful and useful, or a custom table for gathering, there is an emotional element to much of the work that I do.

Comfort means something different to everyone.  What gives your home the “good feels”?  Is it a connection to family history?  A favorite smell?  Soft blankets and throws?  Delicious home-cooked food?  A favorite television show or movie?  What are you utilizing more to create a comfortable space for you and your family?

I would love to hear what is working for you.  Please share your strategies (or challenges for that matter).  We all deserve the best environment to be our best selves.  What are some ways that you can introduce more of what works for you in your everyday life?
