I love the shape of this dresser with its stacked design, but it looked dated as a result of the drawer pulls and the scrollwork at the base.
The dresser had some minor scratches and damage, so I started with repairs. I filled the damaged areas, removed the drawer pulls and recut the scrollwork on the bottom to create a more streamlined profile.
I decided I wanted to pair two of my favorite colors to highlight the different sections of the dresser—a beautiful deep teal and sunbleached stain. Together they create a coastal vibe. The stain for the top section allows the wood grain to show through while giving a whitewashed appearance.
I continued with the coastal theme by adding rope drawer pulls.
I’m thrilled with the completed makeover! It is available for purchase at The Flying Pig in Boyertown, PA.
