I bought this little table at a thrift store a few years ago. It is in great condition, it just didn’t have a lot going for it aesthetically. It had this great inset area on the top that was just begging for something interesting.
I decided on penny tile for the top, so that I could grout it and create a durable and textured finish.
Wanting a classic color scheme, I chose a matte gray penny tile and a putty-colored grout to make it pop. I selected a paint color similar to the grout for the rest of the table, and metallic gray paint for the metal lion foot caps on the table legs to coordinate with the top.

Adding some dry brushing in gray to the paint helped tie the whole look together and bring out the gorgeous details.
This table looks clean and classic and will coordinate with almost any setting. It is available for purchase at The Shop at Amy’s Upcycles.
